Ohmygawd... :(

Hi Eire... it must be the wildfire...LoL
My apology when mixing up with ladies... at least U R not Jack...LoL for sure.
Thank you for pointing out the misdemeanor I caused. I wonder if the ranch of Clint Eastwood was also affected? I hope he is ok and many more too... I would prefer to see more focus be spent (rather than arms etc) to recreate another air for stopping/preventing fires instead with all the bIG earners living there...
Keep in touch as I will with the journals you both contribute...
Desmond... ;)
Desmond,
A pleasure to meet you. I am Eire - Jill is another American who posts marvelous pictures and shares my fondness for the wilderness! We have both posted a number of photos from the same places!
Thanks for you comment on by Big Sur report. Unfortunately the recent wildfires in California have damaged much of the area. It is a favorite of mine.
Happy travels!
Eire

TQ for your friendship and accepting this tulip-tracker from Holland... :)
You have still many more I'm going to catch up on with your journals which I'm sure will help boost if not reminisce my past travels, then without cameras but great memories I drew along from...

Moving experience
Posted: 2008-07-19 10:30 AM
Hi Eire,
Thanks for checking out my report. I have to say when I booked the trip to BiH I didn't really think about the war; but when I got into Mostar I saw buildings with little holes in the plasterwork. I had to ask whether that was indeed bullet holes. I was so shocked and then off course the memories came back.
Even recently some mass graves have been dug up and remains laid to rest properly.
But yes, it turned out to be a quite moving experience.
All the best
Amanda

Thanks for your kind comment on my NFL report. I enjoyed the island nature and history very much. I found many USA tourists with their car, driving all the way from Georgia, Utah, Michigan, etc.

Hola Eire!
Thanks for your comment on my Chicago picture.
Glad to learn that you love that city. Me too, so I have just posted ten new Chicago pictures for you to enjoy. I still have many more, but I selected the ten more representative, for your eyes.
I hope that you will like them.
Hasta la vista.

The Narrows
Posted: 2008-07-14 10:17 AM
Hi again! That's actually one of the reasons we're going back. When we were there in May, the river flow was too high and the Narrows were closed. We were so disappointed- we had our poles, neoprene socks and water shoes ready! We also want to hike up Walter's Wiggles to Scout's Lookout but not all the way up to Angel's Landing...falling to my death is not on my vacation list! Anyway, we can't wait to do the Narrows (not from Chamberlain Ranch) and hopefully I'll get a good picture or two out of it!
Take care,
Jill

Hi Eire!

Hi Eire,
Thanks so much for all the nice comments! We had such a great time and are always amazed at the beauty this country has to offer. We loved Zion so much we're going back in Sept (freq. flyer miles!) for a long weekend of hiking. Glad the pics gave you warm fuzzies!
