Grand Canyon pics

Hi Eire,
I'm writing to thank you for the pictures of the Grand Canyon - they're simply great, esp. thanks to the vibrant colors you captured. I guess Grand Canyon is a rewarding place for photographers.

Hey Eire,
I have been well and truly off the air for a couple of months and I have only just seen your Yaxha-Ancient Ruin Welcomes Exploration Album - I loved it! Then I realised it was the AoM for June so well deserved recognition. I loved the pictures it made me wish I was there in person. I also reread your report on Tikal as I was not sure if I had also read that and even though I had rated it previously I enjoyed reading it again.
Cheers,
Kerrie

Eire, are they going to close it off forever or just for the sake of renovation?

Luxor

Hey Eire,
I found it quite easy going to Egypt. However it was more of a package holiday. So transfers, internal flights and hotels were included in the price. But what I did while I was there was done independently.
I was advised instead of booking on of the established tours, get a few people together and rent a taxi for the day, it worked out a lot cheaper. We eventually took the local ferry across the Nile and there was so many taxis waiting on the other side.
I also felt very safe is Luxor; I know things are a lot different now, but I had a wonderful time and almost didn't have a care in the world.
I wish you the best.

Eire,
Thanks for reading my Connemara report. I did not know azaleas were a pest as well.
The rhodondendrons and fuschias are very beautiful and so characteristic. It is a special type of fuschia. The flowers are rather oblong than bell shaped.
The bell shaped ones are popular in Holland, but they don't survicie winter. (I tried several times, yook them inside, but that did not help) I am now trying to find the Irish kind as i would like to have them in my garden.
