Sequoia and the cattles
Posted: 2007-04-14 02:34 PM
Hi Eire,
thank you for your entry into my guest book. I was actually at a cattle farm in SQNF and I loved it, took some great pictures. I can see why you must have liked it a lot.
The land inbetween is full of wonders.
I am back home now and want to thank you again for your help and the patient advice you gave me. I know it was not easy as I did have some kind of rought beginning - which in the end seams also to be partly my fault. The coast is great, I just must have picked lot of wrong spots in the row, the bad weather and the ticket spoiled it in the end. I loved the very beginning of Highway 1 which I missed at my start. Please read my TL if you do find the time.
Best regards,
andy

Hi, I hope you and your family are well. I've just got back from a weekend in Skegness, on the North East coast of the United Kingdom. We had such wonderful weather (especially for the UK), it made Easter a really treat.
Thanks for looking at my report on Carthage, it really is a wonderful place. It was very special for me as I'd never explored ancient Roman ruins before, and I found it fascinating. I would love to do that again, however Tunis was a bit of a culture shock and I'm not sure I would ever return.
All the best
Amanda

Thank you for your help

Hello Eire,
thank you so much for your help and all the advices you gave me. I wish we would have met in San Jose the other day. It looks like I am not to much into the Coast Line at San Jose, but the weather was bad anyway which might also be a reason for that. The trip starts to get better and better. I like San Diego a lot. Looks like a very good place to be. The people are very kind here in the US and that helps a lot when you are on your own. There is always somebody near bye who helps you or is good for a chat. I met a couple from San Diego yesterday who are heading to New Zealand tomorrow. I wish I could post some pics for you guys, but the computers here do not allow any storage devices to attach.
Take care, Andy

Hi Eire,
Thanks for having a look at the Nilgiri Tahr picture.
Yes, it was indeed a very special moment to be so close to it.
I have one more reason to thank you. Actually, I came across globosapiens while searching on the net about Udaipur. And of course, it was your trip report.I enjoyed reading your trip reports especially the ones about Udaipur, Ranakpur and Delhi. The Udaipur trip report helped me plan our trip. We went there about a month back.Hope to spend some time uploading my trip reports soon :-)

Thanks for visiting my Siquijor report- I wish I had some experience diving to give you a good diving report, but all I have to go one is what I have observed and heard from my visits. There are alot of great dive sites, and dive operations, Siquijor is probably not one of the top 5 in the Philippines, but they offer night dives at almost all the loacations and most are run by Europeans and experienced Filipinos so safety is not an issue. I'll do some research and let you know what I find out. Thanks again for the visit!

Palenque

Hi eirekay,
Sounds great I'm a semi-sort of groupie when it comes to Mayan & ancient ruins.
You are right though you only need a day at Palenque to see it all, we came down from San Cristobel on a night bus, stored our packs & left late afternoon to Merida. Though its one of my favourites as it still has an authentic feel because of the jungle overgrowth, well that's how it was when we there. Have you been to Tikal? That's one I would have liked to have seen.
Cheers,
Kerrie
