Ratings, scores etc

Hi Eire,
Thanks for the message.
I couldn't agree more but do admit to wishing I could get more photos up to a better standard.
I don't think I disregard gradings totally but, fortunately - and like you I feel grateful, none have yet stayed for more than a short time before attaining what I think I aim at as a minimum - 4 with photos, 3 without. if one does, I shall try to edit it up or even delete it.
I shall look through my 2* photos soon as well - but if I like them, I leave them a good while in the hope they may go up.
I don't like the idea of keeping things too long though, if others find them of poor quality.
Cheers, David

Why ever???

Posted: 2005-10-29 11:45 AM
Hi Eire
I've just looked at your Inca Trail report again. I only skimmed it before as I knew I shouldn't be doing the trail and didn't want to see how good it was.
Why in Heaven's name is this report graded as 3*. Wonderful photos and interesting text - what more do people want. Of course you didn't say a lot about the Clubs - perhaps it's that. Sorry, I'm being silly but that sort of thing really irritates me.
Cheers, David

Hi Eire,

Thanks for your comment on my Manly report, you know the saddest thing for me is the fact that I bought my camera right before I left Australia and didnt get the chance to take any pics beofre I left. Trust me I'm kicking myself for it now, heres hoping someone will go there and take some for me otherwise i'll be back for a few weeks next year and will definitley be getting some then.

Sorry, but

Hi Eire
I'm terribly sorry to hear about Lisa's condition and I wish you both well in what can only be a dreadful period of anxiety.
However the 'but' in the title is relief that you are both able to look through it to the other side - and I hope the India trip will be all you hope.
Very best wishes,
David

Insensitivity

Posted: 2005-10-26 02:41 PM
Hi Eire
The very fact that you thought about the quesion at all is proof that you weren't being insensitive. If we all kept back from posting anything that could possibly be insensitive, there would be little left.
I have been happily looking at slides in the collections that others on the trip sent me of the jungle and of the Inca trail and MP. They mean a lot to me now that I've been to Peru.
My attitude ever since my serious heart ailment in 1995 has been to rejoice at what I can do and not to fret at what I can't. [I couldn't walk at all for a time without two sisters from coronary care supporting me.]
So thanks for thinking of it but you can happily forget it.
very best wishes
David

Good afternoon!!

I had a bunch of time to kill and decided to check your photos out.... very glad I did... Awesome....shame about the boogie boarder though!!! hehehehe ( Stand up surfer eliteism) ((only meant as a joke)) hehehehe,
Loved the slideshow of Pichu too your so lucky to have been. Its slideshows like that that make it harder and harder for me to decide where to go next.... not much surf there ...but stunning vistas...
Keep up the great work

Kind Regards

Matt
