Well, if you dont have other plans I really can recommend you something! Selfdrive can be dangerous in india, but its an option to get a car with your personal driver, and and package of hotels in a standard on your choise/ budget. I should have somewhere in my files a business card, of a travel agent for a offer. As we have been there be paid about 500 USD for a 10 days trip. I am not so sure, but I will check my diary. Interested into detail??? We did it in dec 1999 and spend the millenium there...

Hi Eire

Thanks once again for your comments on my Yatra report. This month happens to be the festival season "NavRatri"[9 nights] in India and the Mata's shrine is most visited during this season. Nostalgia and memories from my journey prompted me to write up this report.
The other part of this journey is where we travelled from Katra to Amritsar. Shall write that too whenever I find time.
How's your trip plans to India coming up?

Akhila
