Hey ... and you are diving as well! - Did you ever plan to visit Egypt? Its very famous for diving, but crowded too.
Check my picture folder: Myanmar or Thailand are my favourite dive spots!!
Wish you a nice day

you are right, its not easy planning an india trip.
i have decided that i must do at least three trips to really appreciate india.

second trip will be south india + goa
and third trip will be either sikkim or ladkh.
will keep u updated on my travel plans, as am only leaving on 28 jan 06.
my next short hol will be in end oct for a few days. trying to organise a getaway to tomb raider country - camobodia.
speak soon,
gloria

I'm glad you liked my tour of Europe. I really like your slideshow on Tikal, which is hopefully the next place I'll get to see.

Sorry, I did not realise how much the prices for Palace on Wheels had gone up. The last time I visited that website was atleast few years back.
Happy Planning!!

Hello Eire

Thanks for the note!
With regards to your trip plans to India....here's a suggestion, apart from the trek. There is this wonderful train known as "Palace on Wheels". http://www.palaceonwheels.net/new/home.htm that kind of covers the most exotic places Delhi- Agra and Rajasthan.
Again, if you are planning to stopover at Delhi, you could fly to Nepal (Khatmandu) for treks and monastries. And the golden temple at Amritsar is also easily do-able from Delhi.
Travelling in summer may not be that great. It is really hot especially in Delhi.
I visited India after 5 years in USA - the only thing I missed and really missed was the AirConditioning :)
In case you need any information, please feel free to contact me.
Best Regards
