Hello Eire

oh you really like the pics?! Thanks. Some scanned and in a poor quality. The first time to Myanmar I take a simple uw camera. Asking around, friends told me, out of one roll I get more or less 1-3 good shots. I could not believe, but they where right. My digital Sony, I bought with the original uw case, almost for the same price as the camera... for diving once every year or even less it is probably not worth to buy. As I drop my camera once on the floor, I needed to repair (USD 300) because the new model is using a different casing... So if I ever go to buy a new one, it will be a Canon SLR without taking pics underwater... It really need a lot of practise

eire, i am glad that you liked the san francisco chapter in my report on the road. i was afraid that you would not like it because is not a conventional one; in it i do not describe hotels, clubs, etc. you are fortunate to live in san francisco.

Camel Rides
Posted: 2005-10-12 11:09 PM
Well, if you never ride a camel, just have try. I have been on a 4 day trekking in morocco, and I prefer to walk after a 2 hour ride (same as elefant riding in asia) - If you are interested in a longer tour, your driver is waiting for you... may you include it from the beginning into the package! But I think it is more exciting to be in the cities, get up really early, watch the people setting up their shops and stands at sunrise - and if you want, spent some hours in the desert, morning or evening with your driver...

Hey good to hear that you are interested! It is a good idea, because you are quite fast, you can stop everywhere along the road. Rajastan is wonderful and may the most picturesque place in india, so colorful! Adresses: Centre Tour and Travel, Name: Bashir Karnai, Mail: bashirkarnai@hotmail.com and bkarnai@yahoo.com // Cozy Travels, Name: Anil Manocha, Sunil Manocha, Mail: cozy@ndf.vsnl.net.in Tel. +91-11-3674768 - Try the second, I remember them as very helpful! And: well recommended: namaskarhotel@yahoo.com. Just search Namaskar Hotel, Delhi in google or else

The red building you enquired about was the orriginal office of the Port Captain of the Cape Town harbour. It was completed in 1882. On the seconf floor of the tower is a mirror room which enabled the Port Captain to have a view on all activities in the harbour. On the bottom floor is a tide gouge mechanism used to check the level of the tide. The restoration of the Clock Tower was completed towards the end of 1997.
