yes your right about the roof of the danish houses. its kind of insulation and gives good indoor climate. i have never seen any action on top of the roof due to cutting the grass.
denmark has quite similaries to parts of netherlands but there are differents too and each country is worth a visit. i like to stay on beaches of north sea or atlantic and thats why tho whole coast down to portugal is my favourite region for holidays.
bedankt for your comments and have a good time,
greets thorsten

Patience with crabs
Posted: 2007-11-18 11:43 AM
Hi Marianne,
no, I did not need any patience. The coast there looks like there ist a carpet of crabs. We threw the blinker away and after only a few seconds they ran to it. The picture was taken from a distance of about 10-15m. They run away when you come closer than 2-3m.
The newspaperman really was fun. And sure, for documentation the fotos are merely an illustration of the text. Oups, that reminds me of another detail of the town worth publishing as well...
I will look for some more plant shots but it is difficult to select them because I took about 400 regarding flowers at the flower fair of MedellĂn, additionally to the ones in free nature. :-)

Marianne,
I just enjoyed your album about people. Well composed! The shots are so vital. The workout of the contrast between tourist site and real living is amazing.

Thank you for your kind words about my slide show.
I just had a chance to have a look at yours of Mahdia and enjoyed it very much, too. I think I told you before that we went to Hammamet a few years ago.
The weather in Marrakech was great. We had one day of rain. Essaouira wasn't that windy at all and it was actually quite a relief to be there for a day, as the air quality in Marrakech wasn't great the hotter it got. I remember getting out of our grand taxi when we got back and the air was so thick with exhaust fumes you could hardly breathe. I really wouldn't want to go there in the middle of summer.
And it wasn't all that cold in the Atlas either, despite the snow. The sun was quite strong and we could sit outside without a jacket!
All the best

Hi Marianne
Thanks for your comments on my Morocco reports. On one rare matter of weather on which you and I sgreed, that November temperatures would suit me, we were both wrong! It was much more in your preferred area - rarely below 90 and once touching 100!
I knew about the goats but we saw the short-cutting.
Cheers

Hello, it is not so far from Warsaw, about four/five hours by car I think. I will visit it one day for sure.
Best wishes

Naar aanleiding van jou foto's van mensen in 'mahdia mensen' ga ik proberen om bij volgende gelegenheden meer foto's van situaties te maken waar mensen centraal staan.

Mensen in Mahdia

Hoi Marianne
Groet

Hi Marianne,
I noticed you changed your member picture. The new one is great and so different from the previous one. Is it from your recent journey to Tunisia?
