Much smaller

Hello Marianne,
I hope you are well and still enjoying your writing.
Thanks for reading my report on Japan. I think the Tokyo Tower is much smaller than the Eiffel and it is celebrating 50 years.
All the best

Zanzibar - ctd
Posted: 2008-10-12 07:25 AM
Hi, I was trying to be gentle with my reply. I was not disappointed with Zanzibar, and I had plenty of great time there with the locals, and that was why I stayed an extra day, but there are many more beautiful islands in the world.
I loved the medina, but there were indeed better ones, too. LIke the one in Fes and Meknes in Morocco. But the nightlife in Nungwi was superb, as were the huts on the beach converted into accommodation - a little Bohemian, I know, but with excellent atmosphere.
I went to Madagascar about 8 months before the clash of presidents. I heard that there were great changes since the new president took office, but I could not shift my priorities to go there again rather than discover a new place.
Best regards
Krys

Zanzibar

Hi,
I loved Zanzibar. I would not consider it to be the most beautiful, though. There are so many lovely islands on our planet with much more diverse landscape. My favourite island is Madagascar. But I have never been to New Zealand and from what I see on the pictures, the South Island might actually be the closest to perfection. :)
And I loved Cuba as well! If I were to single out another island it might be Tenerife, actually.
Kindest regards

Travel writing

Hi, I hope you had a good holiday.
I have not yet decided what to do with the groups I moderating. There are not that many active members yet to warrant much group activity. I have created two groups (Sailing, Diving) to channel discussions into a more focused fora, but I am not sure there are that many members with those interests.
Kindest regards

Yes indeed the bog and outcrop rock is very similar to the West of Ireland mountains. I had not made the connection before

Really? I don't know that ria is a dutch name. Well i was quite shocked when i read it. Maybe because there was a connection between indonesia & dutch in the past. I believe there are some indonesian people in dutch.
