Hello!!

Hi Marianne!!
thanks for the message!! you asked me about my favourite vacation destination... i'd have to say that it is where i go every summer with my family for 2-3 weeks. It is on the East Coast of the States... the State of Maine... it's so beautiful there!! That may change though, as i am planning on visiting Europe next year after I graduate from University.
I will need some time to figure out how everyone here works, but i may try writing something up during my Christmas Holidays... too busy during the next couple of weeks with school work and stuff!!
Thanks again!
Melanie.

Beautiful New Zealand

Hi Marianne
You really caught me by surprise. I only signed up yesterday and haven't even found out how everything "works" yet.
However, you asked about my favourite holiday destination and about NZ.
My father was Irish, so I'd love to spend time there. And my wife is English, so we'd both like to spend more time there. Spent 5 weeks there in 1978 and again in 1993 with our 2 children.
On both occasions we visited the Netherlands. In 1978 Amsterdam was the last 3 nights of a Contiki tour around Europe. In 1993, we had another 3 nights in Amsterdam at the beginning of April. It was a little cool and one day was nothing but rain, but we LOVED it and want to stay longer next time. The Dutch people are SO friendly & helpful & what a marvellous travel/tourism system you have.
NZ - are there any areas you've heard/read about that you'd like to hear about in particular? Let me know.
Cheers!
Brian

Marianne, your reports are just spectacular... if you're not a travel writer professionally, you should be! I am looking forward to hearing about Zanzibar (I was thinking about going there too, but want to know what was disappointing about it).
Thanks so much for your immense contribution to this community!

Thanks for visiting my page.
I have never been to the Netherlands, but I feel pretty familiar with the Dutch people. I've met and hung out with so many Dutch travellers on the road, if you wonder. haha.
It was a pleasure to hear from an avid, well-experienced traveller like you. Have a nice day, ma'am^.^

Hello Marianne,
thank you for the compliment. Nice to read:-) I am particularily happy that you have found my private account on GLOBO. There are almost no postings inside my guest book since I did not find the time to work on my own member travel site (and hardly anybody knows that this is my private account:-) Thank you for the letter by the way. I am currently going through it and do write on the reply. Please be a bit patiant.
Talk to you soon,
Andy

Oh yeah, I like the pic you mention very much too,and if you like, I can show you others next time.
We don't have many snowing days these years, so the pictures seems especially meaningful in my eyes.
I hope that there will be a snowing day this year, and maybe you can also come here and have a look

I'm glad that you are interested in my country and my city, hangzou is not so big like beijing ,locating near shanghai. but it is really beatiful, we just call her "the heaven" in China. it has a big lake in the center of the city, and you can go boating there, enjoying the nice natural scenery, and talking with warm-heared local people......
in a word, you won't be disappointed with the charmful city
i am in grade 4 in Zhejiang university, studing phamacy, so what about you? what is your job?
