Ko Samui
Posted: 2004-09-19 06:42 PM
Hi Brit,
Thanks again for your kind comments. Your photos are breathtaking as well. Last trip to Thailand for me was in October of 2003 (monsoon season) and so my memories of Ko Samui are not nearly as colorful as yours.
Since it seems that you have spent quite a lot of time on this island, I would be interested in your opinion regarding the amount of development taking place there now...others tell me that Samui was better before it was "discovered" and developed (pre-airport days). What are your thoughts?
Have a great trip and thanks again for your comments.

Hi Brit,
Thank you.
I went to a book launch in New Zealand House and the party was up on the 17th floor. There is a balcony that goes right round the whole building and the views are spectacular. As the do went on for a bit, I was lucky enough to get some day and night shots. I've been there a few times before, but this time the weather was perfect, if a bit windy. Several of my night shots turned out to be too blurred to be posted.
And yes, there is a slide show on its way.
Take care

Hi Britman!
How are you? Thanks for viewing my orchid slide show. Opps ! I think you got me there. That was a lily of some kind (i'm not sure if its spider ..errr) and not an orchid at all. I'll replace that slide LoL.. (I could use some smileys right about now!)
Take care.. and I look forward to viewing your new slide show which i know is in progress atm!
Jumpa Lagi ya!

Thanks for the comments on my report. I've done some editing and added some pictures, but unfortunately, there is only so much room allowed for text and such. Take a look and let me know if you like the changes!

Thanks - Rio

Thanks, for you kind words. I will take my time and get accustom to the site. Yes while in Rio, I took a helicopter ride and this was one of my snaps, it is an awesome place. I had better pics but as I'm not a computer buff I couldn't figure out how to reduce the file size. Any tips?
