Thanks a lot ,my friend, for looking at my pumpkin pictures.
I hope soon you will try this Maverick wave brake yourself!By the way Half Moon Bay helds every year, in October, the largest Pumpkin Festival in the world with all kinds of competition from growers, food and entertainment .When you will visit San Francisco,i will show you a lot off turisty places.I bet you will find some good waves around!.See you soon.

Hey Matt,
I wish I could take great pictures, you know fellow globo members like Gloria James, but thanks for your compliments.
It's just been a few years that I have been travelling. I took a sabatical from work and fulfilled my dream of going to New Zealand, but now my aim now is to see the world.
Take care.

Surfers Rule in Munich too!
Posted: 2005-11-16 08:24 PM
...thanks maat. For info - you will find surfers most of the year in Munich at the south end of the English Garden or best at the "Flossgelaende". When the river flows stronger, also at the Wittelsbacherbrueke. For surfing pictures see my gallery; choosing the filter "Germany" then go to pages 4, 5, 7, and 9... RR

Jobs various

I'm well retired! - a right boring old b--. I was an official working for natfhe [the lecturers' union after teaching in FE for 20 years in Manchester.
My son [1 of 3] works on oil rig maintenance and has sometimes done rock scaling between spells of off-shore work - not that different to your work perhaps.
Cheers, David

Brussels

Sorry, Matt, but I've never spent long enough in Brussels to be able to do any more on it. I've a friend who goes there fairly often but her main interest in spare time is art nouveau architecture and I doubt whether that's quite what you meant!
Thanks for the comments, however. I'm intrigued to know what work you do.

Hello Again
Posted: 2005-11-11 04:04 AM
Hi, sorry to reply so late. I don't get in here too often. I was trying to upload more photo's tonight but cannot seem to make an album. It just turns into a whole separate photo. grrr. lol
I have no requests in particular. These are my favorite categories though:
*buildings, old and falling apart or new & high-tech
*anything to do with water: ocean, lakes, rivers, rain..
*landscapes of almost any kind
*And most of all, ANY place I've never been is always interesting for me to see through someone elses vision.
Again, i'll work harder on getting my photo's together. honestly, i think i have to upgrade. seems to take quite some time at the generic level of membership.
anyway. nice chatting (in a way)
ciao for now!

Aww shucks!

HEy buddy!
Long time since we've had a little chat in our chat room huh? thanks for the support on Xi'an. I'm glad I could make you laugh!
I can't wait for our date in Michigan. You can teach me how to surf a lake and I can show you the fine art of coffee appreciation.
Then, when I make my way to England I expect a personal tour.
Thanks again!!
