An anxious Kris calling !

Hi Sabine,
When those terrible events unfolded in London yesterday I was so shaken that I was'nt able to react at all. With London being so familiar (25 years is a long time) and so many friends scattered all over London I was on the fone for a long time. Hope you are ok and so is your family. Its so sad to see we humans never learning anything from life at all. Animals are spiritually far higher than us. Anyway this is just to let you know that you Londoners are in our prayers! Must go. Life must go on.
Take care,
Kris

Hi Sabine,
Long time no hear !?? Greetings from Kerala. I was viewing your Thames album which brought back memories of my 24 + years at Oxford and Thames flowing through Oxon. Tow path, pubs, walks, cycling etc are still fresh in my mind and your album showed a different River Thames around London. Take care and let me know when can we expect you here at 'God's Own Country' for a small holiday ?
Warm regards,
Kris Kandath

...so pleased your back and active with wonderfull uploads. Two pictures I like particularly are: "el-baluard" with the shadows of the trees on the fort and its mixtures of shapes. The other, "bay-of-palma", boats all seem huddled together like sheep, afraid of the harbour banks! Pitty about the distant smog, but we cannt choose that or weather as travellers :- ( Nevertheless, an amazing view :-)

Hi Sabine
Thank you very much for your reply.
It is fantastic, you are going to visit San Francisco,so I would have a chance to meet you in person and show you around some not touristy and touristy sites as well, if you don't mind of coarse, that's what our community is for!iI guess.By the way October is great time to visit-Indian summer in the Bay Area, the air is so clean and transparent ! and... not very well visited by tourists,so you would have a wonderul time!
Wish you well, and hope to see you in October.

Envious

What a wonderful slideshow of the Southwest! I was so envious, because you have been more places than I have. I haven't seen the Grand Canyon or Monument Valley. I was visiting relatives in Albuquerque and Santa Fe, so I didn't get around as much as I wished. But now I'm even more envious. I noticed you had an album of Barcelona. I wondered if you had any photos of Gaudi's work. I'm so happy that you got to go there! His work is all over the city, it seems. The Cathedral is spectacular! And the park benches too. I watched a movie called "Gaudi Afternoon". It is a fun movie, and takes place in Barcelona. Thanks - James
