Wie gehts? Thanks for your kind comments on my reports and Im glad they make you smile. Thats why I like to travel.. to find more things to make me smile and then share them with others.
I dont know if you have been to South africa befor but I know you will have such a fantastic time wherever you end up. I need to go back and see my best friend in Jo'Burg and then head up to the Kruger maybee past the Zulu battlefields at Rourkes, if you pass that way Ill be waiting for the reports!!

Thank you for reading the Ludlow report. I agree our public transport system to rural areas is haphazard at best and can be expensive without concessions, booking ahead or done from abroad. I think it is far cheaper to hire a car, often for just a weekend. Frequently the worldwide auto-rental firms - Avis, Hertz, Budget or National have 3 day weekend promotional rates between £60 and £100. That is much cheaper of course than even a return rail fare from London. If you share the hire car with a significant other ;-) or, even an insignificant other, then it’s so much cheaper to take that option.
