Reports

Hi Misty
Thanks for you comments.
I've not stopped this month although it may look that way. Obviously I can't keep reports flowing in at the same rate - but the immediate reason is that I've been spending a lot of time with past slides - some 38 years old like the one nobody's been able to identify for me yet near Mostar.
I've wanted to get down to that for ages for myself but it should also lead to some more reports.
Cheers, David

Japan

I guess it all depends on what you are interested in. High tech? Buddhism? Museums? Beaches?

The bare minimum...

Tokyo - Meiji Shrine, Tsukuji Market, Shinjuku dsitrict

Osaka - Osaka castle

Kyoto - Kiyomizu Temple, Kinkakuji shrine, Arashiyama, Nijojo

Himeji Castle near Kobe

Check out my pictures, reports, and tips for more ideas. Also check out this thread in the forum;

Hi Misty, I am so happy that you checked out the balloon photos. I had such a great time at the "Fiesta". It's difficult to capture the actual size of the balloons in a small photo. They are huge, and the roaring flames that heat the air inside the balloons is very exciting to watch. I didn't get to ride in one of them. Most of them are privately owned, but there were 5 or 6 that gave rides for $75.00 each. At the time, it was not in my budget.

Thanks for taking the time to let me know your appreciation.

Hi Amanda

Hi Amanda,

When I read your message about "my ascension" - I thought I'd gone and woke up in heaven ;-) Thank you!

It sounds silly but I have never deliberately aimed at reaching the number one GLOBOsapiens spot. Numbers and the “so called status” of being the “primus inter pares” don’t really turn me on! The Number one spot has been reached temporarily by me simply because I have happened to upload all my digital pictures held on computer. I seem to take more pictures than most because I can’t keep my finger off the shutter button! (Truly what is more important, I don’t lose them forever if my computer crashes!). I expect to see regular changes to the GLOBO membership top members list – it is certainly an achievable moveable feast for all!

I will write to you in your postbox about Jordan and Petra in due course.

Cheers, Brit

Yes, I'd love to go. However I've got plans for this year and next and at hte moment I think insurance for the US might be prohibitive - although Brit has kindly given me some pointers which I'll follow yp.
