Sunshine dreams..
Posted: 2004-12-12 11:57 AM
I'm not much of a shopper myself. sorry..:-)
What we do purchase though, 'as souvenirs' are actually things we need at home. So in Portugal we bought some oven mitts with the Portugal Rooster printed on it. We really needed oven mitts here. So we like useful souvenirs. Beside that we got some Porto wine of course *chuckle*
Hope you'll have a SUPER GREAT TIME in the Gulf of Mexico. I'm anxious to see your pics and read your reports when you come back..:-)

Super Slideshow Amanda

Your Album/Slideshow of Ayers Rock is amazing, I have added it to my list of most-wanted-travel-targets to experience. Cultures that like of the Aborigines and my interests for geology and the desert are sure to take me to "The Red Center" some day.

Hello Amanda,

Thanks for your comment, I added pictures since then. But I'm afraid they won't reach the quality of yours, you seem a professionnal traveller and photographer! Anyhow, I hope it will help discover this wonderful place I went to by luck.
All the best,
Marie-Ange
PS : I read someone noticing that you only have 5 stars reports, it's true that it's a real record. Congratulations!

Disney is not Macchu Picchu
Posted: 2004-12-07 11:55 AM
Hey Misty,
I really think Disney is a waste of time if it were not for my kids. My 2.5 year old daughter was ABSOLUTELY WOWED by it all and that makes it worth it. She is at the age where imagination is reality - the golden years of our lives. That is what Disney is all about.
For me, I much rather go to Peru or travel the Silk Road or go to Ankor Wat like my sister with her two kids (3 years old and 9 months). I have asked her to blog her travels because it would be helpful to others who want to travel with kids. And, she is doing it on a backpack level, which is absolutely amazing.
What do you think of globosapiens? Looks like you have done a lot of work. I find it very restrictive in the quality of photos and I really have to work on quality downsizing. I think even with the premium service it would not be enough to really show the pictures as most of my travel pictures are panoramas. For travel info, I prefer trip advisor for more timely info.
