I totally understand your opinion on Tokyo. It's definitely not for everyone. Thanks for the comments!

Castles

Hi David.
I've been many times to Sion before, but I do believe these pictures are the greates I've ever taken of the castles. I just love the Valais-canton in Switserland.
My parents met there for the first time, so...it also has a special meaning to me :o)
Greetings

I really like the waterfall pic in Favourite spots. Do you know its name? I 've checked on the Net and can't find out its name. Amazing!

Your Mostar Report
Posted: 2005-02-15 10:01 AM
Hi,
I just read Manfred Osten, The stolen Memory, Digitale Systems and the Destruction of the Culture of Memory, A short History of Oblivion ( my translation of the title) and Frank Schirrmacher, The Methusalem Complott. I think as we are loosing our past because the digitale systems are not able to store the documents of the past, and as our societies are growing older faster than we realise, and discrimination of old age is common, it is necessary to tell what has been, what we have experienced, what we have seen. We are traders of the past.

David,
We were in Skye (before they built the bridge) I would also call them mountains.

Hi David,
thought I had already replied to your comment on my report on Palermo, but I hadn't! Thank you for reading it.
In answer to your question, no, we didn't get to Monreale, but next time - and I hope there will be a next time, because I loved Sicily - I'll try and get there.
best

Hi David,
thank you so much for reading and rating my report.
I have been enjoying your reports very much, too!!!
The photo of the cathedral was taken from a cafe about half way along the pier, where we basked in the sunshine and enjoyed our Sangria!
All the best
