Hi David,
Just found your post as I have just returned from a month away travelling in Cambodia, Laos and Thailand.
I was in your home county back in 1995, (just had to check the map) went through Wetherby, York, round the Malton & Helmsley loop then up to Thirsk looking at my trip notes. Does that sound right?
Loved it - beautiful country just like the cliche chocolate box and how us Aussies would picture England....
Cheers,
Kerrie

Thanks for your kind and honest feedback on my reports. It's very much appreciated, although I realize that people at Globo take this rating thing very seriously... I simply wanted to put out my experience... Why do people counsel me on ways of getting more points? What's the advantage?

The true Sydney
Posted: 2005-06-01 08:03 AM
Hey David,
Before I went to Sydney, my friends warned me - 'beautiful city shame about the people', but it has to be said, Sydney is a great place and the people are not so bad. There are so many interesting places to explore and with a lot of tourists doing the same thing it is quite delightful.
Thanks for rating my report.

David, David, David !! Kris calling !

Hi David,
Your two travel tips entries - one each on 'The Trout Inn, Woolvercote, Oxford' and 'Rose Revived Inn near Standlake' really brought back memories 4 me and a few drops of tears to my eye. Suddenly it made me realise how much I miss Oxford and Oxon( worked as an accountant in Witney for most of my 24 years there). I am really enjoying my new life here as I found it easy to pick up threads after a gap of 25 years, but each passing day is making me realise how much my life had changed during those long years in England. Now I feel like visiting you all again and those sundays at the Parks watching cricket is reallypumping me. Which year and college were you at Oxford/ Take care and stay in touch.
Kris Kandath
ps- thank you once again 4 taking me back to my favourite county at least in memory

Dear David,Thank you very much

Dear David.
I'm very appreciated ,you had spent some of your time reading my report about this magical place, also i'm glad that you like it as well.I was a little unfortunate, because it was rained there for most of the time, and we had stayed there only for one night. The swimming pool was icy cold, but the hot tub outside was very hot and enjoyable even under the rain.At least i had made a brief contact with the nature and loosen up a bit. I did not see the waterfall, but i have few more chances,i guess.
I hope you are well, also wishing you and your family a good luck.
Boris
