Hi David

Misty is right and I would say that New Zealand is worth the long trip it is from Europe. For us in the Pacific, this is one of the closest, finest and least expensive destinations. This country provides marvels that cannot be seen anywhere else: primaeval forests with huge treeferns, the famous flightless kiwi bird, landscapes that may sometimes remind you of some seen in so different countries. Westland in South Island with the two glaciers, Fox and Franz Josef, does ressembleto Alpine regions in some respects, Fjordland (Milford sound) has something of the Norwegian coastline. When you travel from Queenstown to Christchurch, you may have the feeling of crossing some pre-Saharian plateaux in Algeria with a very poor vegetation of tussock. North Island sometimes reminds me of Massif Central and Auvergne in France with its volcanoes and Mount Egmont (Taranaki) seems to be a replica of the Fuji Yama in Japan.

Cheers

Valencia

Hi David,

Enjoy your trip.... The old city is fascinating and well worth exploring, particularly the church in the middle. The beach is not spectacular but some of the restaurants on the beach to the north of the city centre are exceptional. Valencia is the home of Paella and I thoroughly recommend it here!

Have a great time,

Cheers, Brit

David,

As far as I know it has no practical use in terms of what you implied. But it is used to let globo techies know whose talking to whom.
