Yeah, the locals would LOVE to teach you a couple of popular karaoke songs, I bet...hahahaha. Thank you for commenting on my report :-) I've enjoyed yours too by the way, kinda help me to 'travel without moving', awesome reports! Take care and stop by Indonesia in the future! I think you'd enjoy it for sure ;-)

Nice of you to write, the statue's reminded me of Easter Islands, the same question cuold also be esked re these
here the hats seem to me to resemble the hats worn by the people in, ( I think peru certainly one of the S/America countries ) It makes you wonder if there was some distant conection, as we read in the races travelled unimaginable distances on foot or by sea, and passed on parts of there cuture before leaving, or staying, england alone is a classic example dont you think, can hardly list the differen nationalities that have landed on our shores.
Nice to hear from you call again.
Best wishes on you extensive travels

Hi Krys, I started an apprenticeship as a ceramic mason in 1956 and my lasting memory is a book I was given, printed in the early 19th century, which included a print of a patio floor which a wealthy Roman commissioned, dedicated to his young wife, which included her portrait. knowing that neither would live long enough to see it finished, it took 80 yrs. He therefore gave employment to 3 generations of people. It was not the result that was important, it was the philanthropy. Very good pic. Cheers, Tony.

In answer to your question, we (my wife and me) have been working our way thru the Greek islands for several years now and are running a bit low on places we haven't visited before, the criteria being to fly from a West Country airport and as we never go for less than two weeks cost is important as we are both pensioners (fit though!). We like semi rural areas as walking and local transport afford a better way of seeing things and meeting locals. We are going in May to Kefalos on the south coast of Kos and also hope to visit Turkey. I will write a report when I return. Kind regards, Tony.

Best regards, basia

Krys,
Wow what a great topical slide show. I seems to have missed all the fun.
Have a nice evening
