Island?

Hi Petra, although you are quite correct in calling the UK mainland an island I have never heard it referred to in this way, it isn't even a very big one in global terms but from now on if asked where I come from I shall reply "the British Island", Regards, Tony.

Thanks for your congratulation - I had been uncertain whether to include Rugby, I am really pleased that it went down so well.
One difficulty in watching Rugby for those in other countries is that that the main playing seasons for League and Union are not the same.

Thanks for signing my gbook, your flattering comment on my writing style, although good for my ego, has no basis in reality, I write the first thing that comes into my head and quite often regret it, a case of opening my mouth only to change feet! but I do love my adopted county and feel that the lanes and byways are much neglected by the tourist industry and I will try, in a small way, to reflect my personal view of a great place over the next few months, do not expect a literary masterpiece, just some personal comments and a few pics, btw Bon Voyage, have a great trip!!
