Hi Tony
This was taken in Yorkshire, place called Bolton Abby. Really nice area, this particular site, and local village was owned by the late Duke of Devonshire, who also owned Chatsworth House in Derbishire, I am sure you know of that country house. Do you happen to be a member of the National Trust, if so you will be aquainted with many more.
How is the digi going, I am sure, if you get into it you will find it even more interesting, if you get a good photographic program you will be amazed at the changes you will be able to make to pictures, and in a lot of cases for the better. Regards Thomas

Gibraltar report

Hi Tony,
Many thanks for your comments to my report on Gibraltar. It has been over a year now that I went there. It was a bit of an eye opener, actually but I did enjoy discovering it. Loved the weather for sure.
Where are you off to next?
Kind regards
Krys

Dgi cameras

Hi Tony
Sorry to have no contact for so long but I am also new to this, too mean at the moment to pay for extra picture space.
Glad to hear you are thinking of going digi, with the modern cameras you wont be disapointed.
In my early days my brother in law said wait, the quality is not good enough, this has changed dramaticly, and with good lenses, to the naked eye you will be hard pushed to tell the difference, you can see this if you look at voss now, but of course he will us profesional camras, way beyond my pocket, I use a Fugi with 10 times optical zoom, and can take pics that can show hairs on spiders legs, so I think you would be satisfide with the results.
On great advantage is cost they only the charging time for the batteries , no waste, throwing away prints paid for that you dont like, take as many diferent ange of the same shot and discard without waste, it's great, would not go back to a normal camera.
Good shooting
Tom

Hi Tony,
yes, I am an early riser, but there is a time difference too, as far as I know. I like the early hours when nothing disturbs me.

Computer and Tony

Good morning, Tony,
to be honest I wouldn't try to drop the computer from a high building. Think of the effort to carry it upstairs. just take your time, be sure once in a while it is obedient to you.

Hello Tony
Good to hear from you.I think that you are right about my heron picture, but dont worry about Gordon B he will come good given time in a very difficult job.I am sure you would have been made to feel welcome when you were here as most Glaswegians are hospitable,I feel the same when I travel to England and have very happy memories there. Regards,Fred.
