Cornwall Album
Posted: 2009-03-31 04:08 PM
Hi Tony,
I hope the album will have a positive effect. I wish I had a little more photographs good enough for posting. I will dig a bit further and perhaps I will add a couple more.
It is a long (and expensive) way from London, but I'd like to come over again and explore this beautiful part of the country more. I'd love to come back to Zennor to visit that pub again. It was incredible! Now, I also have a much better camera, so my photos should be better...
Kindest regards

Cornwall, etc

Hi Tony,
Many thanks for the comments on my pix from Cornwall, and the one from Cambridge - they add a lot of value to my simple picture comments/descriptions.
It has been a while since I last time went to see Cornwall. I found it very relaxing. It did not hit me that it was much impoverished, actually. Having been to rural Scotland, I thought it was about average for Britain, excluding the rich cities of London, Leeds, etc.
Kindest regards

Bryant is approx. 15 miles southwest of Little Rock on Interstate 30. It is a "bedroom" community with a population between 12-15,000.

Essaouira
Posted: 2009-03-29 09:39 PM
Hi Tony,
thanks for reading and rating my report.
We didn't try the beer, but there are some decent Moroccan wines available. We liked vin gris 'Domaine de Sahari', which was very drinkable, but you can expect to pay for it as much as you would pay for a bottle of wine in a restaurant here.
Due to the number of ex pats living there, there are also a number of off-licenses now in Essaouira and they are surprisingly well stocked.
But going out in Morocco makes a nice change from Soho on a Saturday night - no hordes of drunks marauding through the streets.
Cheers,
Sabine

Slideshows

Hi Tony,
Many thanks for your kind comments. We do not rate slideshows on Globo. Instead, members can leave their comments in the guestbooks. We had a short debate about this in one of the Groups.
Kindest regards

Free ads and spams
Posted: 2009-03-25 08:07 AM
Hello Tony,
As I am working through a few reports that I started with some ideas, but now cannot get them finished due to a lack of time, I am getting increasingly annoyed with spam and ads on our site.
I think we could raise this as an issue to Andy. I think that advertisement entries made to group discussions and guestbooks are being deleted from the site, but I am not sure the same happens to reports. And recently there have been at least a couple. Perhaps we could forward their links to Andy for deletion? This would help him identify and assess them.
Kindest regards

I hear you....

Tony,
I think that was my concern before I started my trip, and in fact the first two days I was so upset. But once I released my anxiety I was able to enjoy it for what it was.
mahalo, Amanda
PS the only time you see a lot of people at once is in the dining room/buffet so it was bearable.
