OK, so I won a sweepstake: one week in a French apartment. Great! (If you are in to the complete family experience, that is...) The apartment was fun, but I spent as less time there as possible.
Il d'Or, shot when walking the dog...
Il d'Or is an Island near Saint Raphael, this location is know for it's good diving and attracts several hundred divers a day (in season). Our appartment lay about 1.5 kilometer from it... but we would have to climb the hills and swim the last 300 meters. It is actually not much more than a large rock sticking out of the water, with a lighthouse / castle built on it...
Favourite spots:
My favorite spots would off course be the dive locations ( visit my website and see the googlemap link for details on the exact spots: scuba.mauricedeboer.-nl/fr-dives ) Diving around Il d'Or was quite good, certainly if compaired to the other miditeranean locations I had dived before.
What's really great:
eh, what I liked best around this isle was the diving, off course... I have listed some great divelocations and I have not visited them all.
Accommodations:
Cap Esterel, the appartmentcomplex near Agay.
Other recommendations:
I am actually in this shot!!
Best way to dive here is to take all your equipment and arrange a deal with the Agay Dive Club. (see details on my websit, again)
