My second stay in Nigeria was again in Port Harcourt. This city of milions harbours some big oil companies centre of ops. Most of the wealth of the people here come from oil. It is not really the place to be if you like to be completely catered like in the standard tourist resourts... Nigeria is not for tourists they say. This picture shows one of the roads with a man selling stuff... I had to make this one out of a moving car, I passed endless slumps en route to the airport.

What's really great: |
Since I only worked on a compound, here... the best things would be the swimmingpool next to the restaurant.

Accommodations: |
Only by invitation: Intels Compound definitly is the place to be if you need to be in PH. This was my accomodation for the three weeks I stayed here. There's a selection of accomodations to pick from. Left you see the topselection a two bedroom appartment with AC and maid. On the right there is the cheaper 1 room appartments. In the back you see the 4m high electric fence, this is complete with camera security, guarddogs, armed guards and another fence behind this one... to keep you from exploring the rest of Port Harcourt ;-]
