This years holiday went to Bodrum, Turkey. Our choice for this location is somewhat obscure for our tastes, we tend to not go to those party towns where you are supposed to party until 6:30 AM. This time it was different for us. We would like to have a cheap vacation with one of our buddies that was planning on tagging along. We had: FUN, FUN, serious cultural and archeological lessons, Fun, serious fun and more.

| Favourite spots: |

Almost every night we went to a local restaurant to eat. For under 10.000.000 Lira (some 7 Euro) you still can get a REAL decent meal, including drinks, here! The restaurants we choose were offering the more local foods like Kebabs and stuff. We soon discovered to follow the Turks themselves into the good restaurants... If they eat here it must be the right stuff!

| What's really great: |

Diving again... I made some 10 dives in the Bodrum area. Although this place is not exactly Great Barrier Reef or the Red Sea, it offers lots of fun places to dive. We've seen many different species of fish and other sealife here.

|
On my second and third trip to Bodrum I have just been here for the diving... Check my photos and be shocked about the beauty underwater.

| Accommodations: |
- Dolphin Apart, simple apartments, but with aircon.
- Sea Garden Beach resort (Hapimag), just opened it's gates this year and already it is my favorite place to get on the boat for diving. It's location is perfect, altough you need to travel 20 minutes to get into town.

| Hangouts: |
oh, commenters...: I know it should be Bodrum instead of Budrum...
I CANNOT change that anymore.

| Restaurants: |
Zetas, where you can get the better turkish specialties
oh, and:
Try to get lunch or dinner at some local farmer or peasant! it's great! they realy know how to cook!
