After travelling throughout Australia's Outback and Deserts for over 30 years I decided in 1995 to give away my job and to travel full time. What better way to do so than by running Outback Tours and Expeditions for travelers who want experiences rather than sightseeing.

Favourite spots: |
Our remote areas, the Outback and our Deserts are still destinations where we can escape the Mass Tourism. There is nothing to compare with sitting around our campfire, cooking in the coals and then going to sleep looking up at our star studded sky. My Expeditions and most tours take us to places few other travelers ever get to experience. The Simpson Desert, Gibson Desert, Canning Stock Route and the Great Sandy Desert are just a small selection.

|
What's really great: |
Flinders Ranges, Oodnadatta Track, Simpson Desert, Chambers Pillar, Palm Valley, Gunbarrel Hwy., Kennedy Ranges Nat. Park, Steep Point and white sandy beaches of the Western Australian coast. During June 2003 I'll be leading another Expedition across Australia. This is a repeat of my 2001 East-West Crossing and the participants journal is here: www.redcentre.com.au/ 4x4/EWX2001-Journal.htm Enjoy, Mike. P.S. you may have to 'stitch' that link together.

That is a perfect idea to give up your job. I wish I were as brave as you. |
