I've been here a lot of times. It's warm, beautifull, nice clean beaches, the people are friendly and there are a lot of wild-growing orchids. Most hotels here are rather luxurious, and the majority of the tourists are families from Scandinavia and England. Fig Tree Bay lays between Aya Napa and Famagusta.

Favourite spots: |
Famagusta: You have to see this place from sea, since getting close to it is impossible. When the Turkish occupied half of cyprus, people had to drop everything and flea this city. Now it's a goast town in the UN bufferzone between the Turkish and the Greek (Cypriot) half of the country. If you go to see it, I recommend you get on an organized boat-trip. If you cross the boarder the seas are minefiels.

What's really great: |
When I was there last, when I was 12, it was rather calm and small. Not many tourists yet, and people weren't at all fed up with tourists.
Sights: |
Cyprus is full of history. I recommend having a look at the bufferzone (you can drive pretty far into it).
Accommodations: |
Tons of hotels. Prices vary.
Nightlife: |
Tons of disco's and clubs. If you wanna party a lot, I recommend going to Aya Napa, and not to Fig Tree Bay.
Hangouts: |
Maestro Music Bar: When I was there, I ended up spending every night at this very friendly place which is also stuffed with locals.
Restaurants: |
Love Boat: Nice pub/restaurant. The show movies and football on big-screen. I watched Forest Gump there with chinese subtitles.
Other recommendations: |
Jesus did some stuff on this island, which means there are quite some sights. Furthermore the godess of love stranded in Paphos. Might also be nice.
