I wish I can hear music all the time. In the catastrophy of the language I cannot understand. If only I can hear the song in my ears. Love songs.

The narrow street filled with tender hums. Somewhere out there, someone must've said gentle prayers. "I wish the world would be at peace." "I wish for happiness." All the good wishes in the world. The leaves just start falling. Oh... I wish everyone is as lucky as I am. Nothing else. Then the heat escalates. Dust starts to take control. But inside, with the prayer of the saints. There will always be hope. That the cloud would make their moves, jumping around in space, in between the sun.... That their shadow would bring tenderness on the ground, once in a while. So then I strolled. My steps moved closer to the water... the river of Chao Phraya. There are times of green, and plenty when they turned brown. But anytime, the color will always be right. Sometimes, most of the times... the smell of the water tickled me. It redeemed the carbon-filled-day. All gone and leave just pleasures. Just when the round orange sun vanished, behind the great temple, the Wat Arun. This is today. This is Bangkok. The river, the sunset... and the singing of prayers.

Favourite spots: |
*** The cool wind is on. It was december; One of the nicest time to be in bangkok... before the dampness took over in the summer. I strolled around the sanam luang park. Plenty of bird drops, yet plenty of empty park seats. One of my favourites. I sat, and for a while... I fell asleep. Than the phone beeps... wbs: "hey, how are you?" ds: "i'm more than fine... " despite some strangers lurking... i don't mind. Bangkok is a place where you can find plenty of green in the jungle of cement road. some with gentle lakes. *** The temples, and the monks. The sounds of prayers. *** You can also go to the shopping malls... they are everywhere. I know i can find it in my city... but truthfully, sometimes there's a sense of comfort in being into one. A cup of starbucks, a good piece of rolls, and just being in a place where you just know what you want in a new place. Iced latte, grande.... (please).

What's really great: |
*** The small noodle stall, just everywhere. The soupy soup, hot, tasty, with extra chili. I like the free drinks (very thin tea... almost non-tea-tea i guess). Smalll food stalls in bangkok are great. *** The public transportation -- the monorail: they are cheap, fast, cool, and you can peep to the plenty of parks they have around the city. Sometimes you can see diferently from above. *** Watch the cinema and having to stand up when the national song and the king's anthem is played. *** I love doing nothing in bangkok.

- Baan Sabai, Buddy Lodge, Sawasdee Inn, in the Khao San road area - Bhalampong. If you're lost and don't know much about bangkok, the Khao San area can be a choice. Broken english please... but at least some speak the language. There are plenty of tourist information office, with greatfully helpful staff. - Bos Tower serviced apartment-- I stayed there just for a while. It's basic, and a bit old; quite 80's. -Hotels in sukumvit area. Nice area, nice crowds. -Any hotel chain you want... don't worry.
