				Blackville is actually a hometown where people first gathered about 70yrs ago due to the logging industry. Driving through you`ll see a few houses and a wood mill. But if you take the time, you`ll see much more.

				Built along the Miramichi river, the town has charm. It`s a perfect spot for photography. The water is calm and the river wide. It is well known internationally that here is the place for fishing salmon. Everywhere you`ll find information and guides for a fishing trip. Blackville hosts Salmon pools and fishing clubs.

			You can stop at the historical house ( free entrance fee) where you`ll be able to visit each room with it`s turn of the century original furniture.

			Even though the town is small you`ll find an ATM machine available. Also between the months of May to the end of September you`ll encounter many fishermen from around the world.

			There aren`t very many accomodations available unless you want the comfort of a hotel/motel in Miramichi City, which is situated about 1 hour drive North of Blackville.  If you like charm there are many Lodges available around the town. You can get information at the local tourism information center.
