Everyone who thinks he has seen Argentina by visiting Buenos Aires is wrong. The good time to spend some time and a good place to get about everywhere is Cordoba - 2nd largest city in Argentina. It has over a million inhabitants and still somehow does not appear to be that big. Its settled close to the mountain range of the Sierras de cordoba.

Favourite spots: |
The sierras - where you can find relatively close to the city quite spots and even sometimes snow in the winter. The pedestrial area at noon (you can simply sit their and people watch)
What's really great: |
The mixture of people (spanish, italian and arabic descents and quite some more), the atmosphere in the soccer stadiums, the food (asados) ...
Nightlife: |
Best guess: go to one of the boliches the locals go to. They dance something that is called Quarteto, its easy to learn, fun to watch.
Hangouts: |
In the pedeststrial area are some pubs that attract tourists as well as locals you may even enjoy some life music or local dancing (chacarerra - the dance of the gauchos) there.
