Located at the South Eastern part of Jubail city,Saudi Arabia its hardly 13 kms from this city. Its an attempt to share my memories with Globo family about this restricted place.
We chose this place as our destination for viewing the desert near Jubail for a closer view of the true desert in Gulf. Hence, one fine day in feb 2005 (the weather is pleasant at this time of the year) we took food and water along apart from the mats and some clothings. But , were skeptical about some one watching us and asking reasons of coming to this deserted area .Any ways we were mentally prepared to have fun there and went ahead.

Favourite spots: |
To be honest this was my first visit to desert ever and it was real fun.Imagining, how difficult people's lives would be before petroleum becoming as there important source of earnings. I saw so many different desert bushes with fine thorns and clicked pics throu my camera. When we went deep inside we saw some ruins of a house and it was really surprising ! The most thrilling things was the wild camels which were freely roaming around in heards ,they were quite but still I was bit afraid to go close to them as I was unaware of their behaviour.

What's really great: |
I saw a small oasis which is the most precious thing in a desert and was surprised again !Also, found one moon shaped sand dume which was really looking good and had fun climbling it.
Sights: |
The best thing was the dates trees, the fresh water pond ,camels, the sand dumes ..etc
Accommodations: |
Hhahahhahaa, absolutely nothing there to stay, except the car.
Nightlife: |
nothing there
Hangouts: |
hahahhahaa
Restaurants: |
hahahhaaaa there is nothing except some dates which grows only in the month of June and July
Other recommendations: |
Lots of wild desert bushes are there and flowers too also there are few animals which mainly gaze out during night time.

Great effort Ravi - particularly when there is so little to write about in a material sense! It does convey an adventure though and the super pictures show us a hidden corner of the world. |

Except for the "ha-ha-s", really an unusual and amazing place and a brief but brilliant report, fantastic pictures, of a very difficult and unique place. |
