Lorsch is recommended to start if you want to learn the 'Bergstraße'. The Bergstraße is a series of cities, Castles etc. along the hills/mountains. The Lorsch Abbey is a must for people who are interested in the Middle Ages, It's Religion and so forth.....

Lorsch is a must if you want to explore the Bergstraße. Since Starkenburg is near, you should make it your first destination (unless you've already started your journey).

The Lorsch Abbey was built in the 12th Century. It was to that time under the rule of Karl the Great. It also had one of Germany's Largest and most valueable Libraries; 'Bibliotheca Palatina'.

Currently, the Lorsch abbey is being used as a Museum. They have the Worlds largest Pipe, Group activities, etc..

The Best sightings are at Starkenburg Castle. You can see far out onto the lands, past Hüttenfeld or Lampertheim. You will enjoy to remember!
