Port Arthur is amazing. It has old tumbled down building (churches, houses and gaols), and museums in houses to show how it would have looked when it was in operation. There is a boat ride to the Isle of the Dead where all the convicts, soldiers and others are buried.

The large tumbled-down penitentiary and it's reflection on the water of the bay.

The whole place, the history is amazing and it is very peaceful.

It is only a short drive to Hobart. We stayed there with family.
