I stayed a few miles outside of Satun with my friend and her family. Their village is small and the house is surrounded by rubber trees. Bordering on Malaysia it is noticeable that the area is more Muslim than Buddhist.

Favourite spots: |
There seem to be rubber trees everywhere!! We went on the moped to the next town and onwards towards the ocean. From the shore i could see out to Ko Tarutao National Marine Park.

What's really great: |
Just the view and the fact that there are very few foreign visitors here. You may see a few on the bus travelling from Pak Bara to Hat Yai. Great to be with the locals and trying out my Thai!
