Vicki,
I'm so excited, about my Christmas vacation. One more day at work, and then as you said, it will only be sun, sand, sea and s.......

What I meant was shopping. Was Portugal your last trip for the year?

Speak to you soon.

The photo of the sihlouette of tho boat on the beach sets the perfect mood. Also the shot of Gerrafano framed by the old window is outstanding. By the way, thanks for the compliments on my photos. I plan on dodging the bicycles again next week!

Ukraine

Posted: 2004-12-04 09:50 PM
Hi Vicki
Thank you much for your reply
Visiting Ukraine will amaze you with its people, nature and a lot
Of cultural diversity this country has to offer.
Kiev-the capital is the city with over 1,000 years old history
And the matter of fact – the first capital of Mother Russia
Kiev belongs to Eastern part of Ukraine .On the other hand-Lwow
Is the center of Western part-totally different architecture ,because
The region was under Austro-Hungarian rule and influence for a long
Time, than under Polish rule as well, until 1939,when Russians
Accupied the Western part and this territory was annexed to the rest
Of Ukraine. So basically Western part is more European than Russian
And Ukrainian .Visiting Carpathian Mountains –in the Western part
Is a must.
Please let me know ,so I would give you some advise.
Visiting Europe ,I don’t know when .To long of a holyday
(at least 14 days) and I can’t live my business for that long
time.Next year I would like to visit Columbia River-
Columbia Gorge for about 8 days.

Best Wishes to you and Happy Holidays

Boris

Oddities

Hi Vicki-Krista,

Long time no contact, but I wanted you to know I thought of you as I was in Seattle this month... I found this place, Ye Olde Curiosity Shop, that I just know you'd dig... it has all kinds of wacky, weird, off-beat stuff (some of which I photographed, and a couple I actually posted here on GLOBO). I imagine it to be sort of a Ripley's without the glitz, and it's all free to see. If you ever find yourself in Seattle, you positively must make time for it!

Oh, and thanks for sharing your photos from Portugal... utterly captivating. I'm kicking myself for giving the country a miss on my last trip -- I really must find my way there someday. I just love your fascination with architecture and food (chicken feet!).

All my best,

Liz

Hi VK,
Thanks for your nice comments.
Glad you liked the pics of Indonesia.
I still have quite a few more to load including some from Lombok.
Hopefully I will get them in soon otherwise I will be off on my next trip & I won't have finished the previous one.
Cheers,
Kerrie
