Hi Rafal,
thank you very much for your words about my Rome album. Actually it`s not a new one, I just added a date and Globo put it back onto the front page... But I still enjoy nice comments, of course!
Your slide show of Paris is gorgeous, I especially love the wonderful night shots from one of my favourite cities. Not an easy task to take great pics in November light - very well done!!!
Take care - Petra

Hi Rafal,

Many thanks indeed for the info. Very useful indeed! Something's telling me that it will be a good trip. I hope weather patterns for me will be better than they were for you - I read about the rains you encountered.

Best regards
Krys

Macedonia and Albania

Hi Rafal,

In about a month, I am venturing to the southern Balkans. Doing it in the opposite direction you did a year ago. Well almost. With a great fascination I read your travel log.

My plan takes me to Saranda from Corfu. Then, I am planning to go to Fier, then to Berat, then to Tirana, Kruja and Shkodra. Then, via Kosovo to Skopje and Ohrid.

I was wondering if you'd have some more advice for me regarding public transport in Albania. Particularly the stretches from Seranda to Fier, from Fier to Berat, and Berat to Tirana. I'm just wondering how frequent the buses and the fourgons are. And how many people do they normally pack in a fourgon... (just in case I'd want to buy more than one space, so we could depart quickly).

And in Macedonia... how frequent is the public transport between Skopje and Ohrid? Do they also have buses and fourgons there, too?

Uh, and did you go out at night to party? I am keen to find out how much I should save in the budget for drinks.

Thanks
Regards
K

Hi Rafal!

Thank you! I am really pleased with the award.

I've got the numer of my South Africa pictures down from 2500 to 2100, but still sorting through them. Can you imagine what this would have costed me if I didn't have a digital camera?!

Will get in touch soon about my trip to Lisbon. Need some recommendations for good restaurants.

Hope you are keeping well.

Hi Rafal,

thank you for reading and rating my report. But you are too kind. 12*?

It was a great experience and I think about it often. Just yesterday we said that if we go back to South Africa we would go to Addo again.

How was Madrid?

All the best

Mekong

Posted: 2010-04-09 03:39 PM
Hey Rafal,

Yes, SE Asia is really beautiful, each country slightly the same, yet so different. I really had a fabulous time, however I think this will be my last time to the area for a while. I think next time I will head back to Central or South America.

With regards to the Mekong Delta I was a little disappointed, even though going through the canals was really exciting and meeting some local people.

Once I get around to it, I will post some pictures.

All the best
Amanda
