Thanks a lot for your congratulations! Yes, I do completely agree. There are already many good photographers taking good pictures and postcards of the famous places, so I just try to capture the essence of the instant and places when travelling instead of the a-million-time-shot things!

Hi Rafal
Many thanks for your message. The award came as a total surprise but I won't pretend it was other than immensely pleasing.
Cheers

Hi Rafal,
Thank You for the nice words on my London album. I was lucky with the weather which always helps to brighten the pics. I never planned to do an album but Petra gave me the idea when she wrote in my guestbook and I got a nice surprise when I logged on to see that Andy had chosen it as AoM.Thanks Again.
Have a nice day,Fred.

Rafal,
I laughed at your comment about my long picture descriptions. I am a self admitted NERD! A Geek from head to toe. Maybe even a nerdy geek!
I will read four or five guidebooks and at least one historical biography before I go anywhere and then copy the best pages from each and make my own guidebook. And for all that prep work, I never cease to be amazed by all that is out there. My family laughs at all of it, but I haven't lost a child yet!

oh, I see you speak German! Nice, that you can travel again soon. I hope to be away for a short trip after Pentecost, too. Maybe more than 8oo km, hopefully to Italy...
