thank you very much for your congrats on the MoM award - what a surprise! In the meantime even my mother admits that it was a good idea to take her digi for my travels. ;-)
Have a nice day - Christopher

Well you see I cannot really see how I might have contributed to the talent here. Denise on the other hand once won a cup for amateur acting. The Oscar escaped her but she has had a wonderful time and the legendary fifteen minutes of fame. Thank you very much for your kind message

Hi Tony, thank you very much for your comment on my Mandalay report. I too saw that program and in a way I was angry. Do we still need enemies as during the Cold war to have an "ordely" picture of the world and to feel good? When you think of Aung San Suu Kyi how she talked about the situation: We live from day to day. We want to talk to the government and find a way together. She knows that a violent revolution will not be the solution. But no newspaper would publish my report. This other side of the coin isn't wanted.

I agree. It is hard work to write a report especially when you have to use a foreign language as I do. Words are more important because they transfer impressions, experiences, and knowledge. A report shouldn't not only tell where the food was good or the accommodation in order or how to come from one place to another. That surly are important informations, but that can't be enough to tell about a journey, because a journey means to leave your social environment behind. To travel is a risk but a way to find your identity.

I am happy that you liked my slideshow. Bosnia is indeed very interesting country. I am only regreting that I had no time to see more remote areas.
Have a nice day
