This was our first family vacation taking my husband's 2 children and our 2-year-old grandson. Our trial run was a 4-day 3-night quickie vacation at the Wyndham Rose Hall resort.

Favourite spots: |
The waterpark at the Wyndham Rose Hall!! The 200-foot slide was a blast for adults and older children and our 2-year-old grandson enjoyed the series of 3 smaller slides. And the swim-up bar - ooh la la!

What's really great: |
The people there are the reason we are going back next year. I have NEVER experienced such genuine friendliness anywhere else I have traveled. The exception to this is the ladies in the gift shops - but I refuse to let their negativity and snobbery influence my feelings about such a marvelous resort - I'll just shop elsewhere next time!

Sights: |
Have Chris (a most wonderful bellman - tell him hi for us) arrange a taxi tour of Montego Bay with Swaby. This was really very enjoyable!

Accommodations: |
Wyndham Rose Hall resort. This is an older hotel (built in 1971 I believe) but it was kept spotless. Our room was very comfortable and all the rooms have a balcony for enjoying the wonderful Jamaican breeze.
They were able to give us adjoining rooms and a crib for the 2-year-old at no additional charge. Additionally, because we explained that we needed somewhere for the 2-year-old to take a nap they let us keep one room a bit past check-out time - VERY accomodating!!

|
Restaurants: |
For breakfast and dinner stick with The Terrace buffet. The Italian restaurant (Luna di Mare maybe?) was a disappointment. The Blue Mountain Java cafe was good but why eat inside? For lunch stick with the Pool Grille and tell Sherrette that Belinda says HI!!
