St. George is in the southwest corner of Utah. We drove here from Las Vegas and it is really a beautiful drive. We didn't do much in St. George itself - it was merely a base of operations for other trips.
Favourite spots:
Snow Canyon is 10 minutes from St. George and is a wonderful place to hike. Also be sure to check out the new dinosaur tracks museum.
What's really great:
St. George is close to Zion National Park and not too far from Bryce Canyon National Park.
Sights:
Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon National Park are AWESOME! Definitely worth the road trip!
Accommodations:
Best Western Coral Hills. This is a typical Best Western but we upgraded to the honeymoon suite which was pretty good for the price.
Restaurants:
Ricoco's Steak House is WONDERFUL!!! I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough!
Other recommendations:
Don't miss hiking in Snow Canyon or seeing the new dinosaur tracks museum.
Some interesting recommendations. The average tourist only looks for the popular spots like Zion or Bryce and probably misses other beautiful places in that area.
