one week was not long enough - but it was long enough to know i would love to go back. i have edited this album and my report on new orleans and after hurricane katrina, these photos and my memories seem all the more special.

these beautiful buildings line the streets of the french quarter

the weather was hot.
the drinks were cold.
the convention centre was packed with geeks.
whats a girl to do?
leave the hotel and go out touring.
new orleans is a city to walk around or catch the streetcars.
leave the car at home.

Favourite spots:
st charles avenue and the garden district
st charles avenue and the garden district
the architecture of the houses in the garden district is amazing.
next time i go to new orleans, i will definitely be doing a plantation tour!

the best night out that i had was over in lessop street listening to kermit ruffins. this was supposedly the wrong side of town - but music brings people together and i am so happy that i got to experience it.

What's really great:
i especially liked the people (although some of the african american men can be a little aggressive)

Sights:
cajun queen river boat cruise

Nightlife:
fat catz music club on bourbon street
fat catz music club on bourbon street
mad catz music club - bourbon street.
a great mix of the old and the new. i cant remember the name of the band that was playing the night we spent there - but there had to have been at least 8 members on stage!
the MC that would come on between their sets was also pretty good - he kept the club alive.

Most enjoyable report. After what has happened there the last few days I wonder if the city will ever recover.

I think you need to do a spell check on this report. I hope you do take the Plantation Tour because one of them is the last battlefield between the
English and the Americans.

Hi again Tara! I really like your enthusiastic style of writing, no doubt you enjoy travelling! :-) I agree with you also in the value of the experiencecs after a natural disaster. I have been in such a hurricane myself. But I must also comment that to get a good rating on your report, you need accuracy and details enoug to be of real help no your readers. Good luck on this! Again, looking forward to read your experiences in Sydney.
