San Francisco is such a cool city. I’ve been there for five days, and when I wasn’t taking care of the kids, I tried to see as much of SF as possible.
I stayed with my host-family in the Grant Hyed (or something like that) I had a wonderful view over to the transatlantic building. For some lower rates, there's a hostel at the waterfront. San Francisco is such a cool city. I’ve been there for five days, and when I wasn’t taking care of the kids, I tried to see as much of SF as possible. I really recommend to do a deluxe tour with a bus plus the Alcatraz trip. This gives everyone who has never been to SF a good overview and shows the best sights.
Favourite spots:
I really likes Chinatown with really great shops to find something to bring home. You can also have a really great Dim Sum there, but the conversation is not that easy there!!!!
What's really great:
I really likes the tour to Alcatraz. You have a wonderful view over the skyline of SF and the history of this place is also very interesting! A must do is to go down the Lambert street, because you will find the street in every movie about SF!!!!
Sights:
The city hall..... Alcatraz and of course the GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE!
Hangouts:
In the Italien district you can find some really nice pubs
Restaurants:
It's a little bit like in Seattle. There's actually good food everywhere. But i recommend to got with the cable car to the waterfront and have a fish!
