Hilly and spectacular... and becoming surprisingly condident in itself. Cityscape is modern. Once the CBD was empty after hours but now it;s thriving again...
Favourite spots:
Top of Mount Victoria with friend immediately after they have arrived in Wellington for the first time. This view is of the south of the city. Looking out over Cook Strait and on to the Pacific.
What's really great:
Special? The location and the vistas. It's pretty.
Sights:
Makara is a few kilometres from the city centre. It is something of a gem. Makara is on the coast. On a clear day it is fantastic and on a stormy day it is just as fantastic. This picture was taken on a clear winter day.
