The township of Cape Town
Posted: 2006-11-11 02:35 PM
Eire,
I agree with you, it was hard to see and visit the townships, and experience this povety. I actually didn't like these pictures (of the township) until I put them in B&W. And then they became more of a photo documentary. I'm now happy with the results.
Thanks for your comments.

Hello,
I know we don't really speak of politics around here, but I woke up this morning to the news that Arnie's back; he said he loved sequels I thought that was funny.
Have a nice day

Firstly congrats on winning the ROM. Wonderful report!
I'm so happy that your daughter has found a new friend from India. I'm sure it is exciting.
Thanks for the note on my Delhi pictures. I was at Delhi from 24th-27th Oct attending a conference. I stole 1 day (the 27th) and went- starting from the Akshardham at dawn to Qutab Minar at sunset.
The boring part was I had no company, I did however, enjoy the city as much as I did when I visited delhi last, in 1995.
I concede, it is a beautiful city and definitely worth spending more than just a couple of days.
I missed shopping at Palika Bazar, Sarojini Nagar Market and my favourite Connaught Place - the Henna paintings and old bangle shops.
How was Halloween?
Warm Regards from India

Thanks for looking at my report on Cape Town. I wanted to make this one a little more personal and take away a lot of the facts that I thought most people would already know about CT. I had such a brilliant time there and each of the story I've told is very specail to me. It makes me smile, espeically when I think about the whales.
All the best

Hi Eire
Amazing that your childern started backpacking with you from the age of 6!!!! Wow.
So there's some time to wait for more travels but there are so many wonders to explore and find out with our newest addition to our family that we won't get bored so fast ;-)
Thanks again for your best wishes.

Eire: more time
Posted: 2006-11-03 05:38 AM
Eire,
That's exactly the problem: more time. I have the same problem, quite a few half finished reports, eventually I will finish them.
Look forward to your next Indian reports.

Congratulations, we just love that Rajasthan "road" report, the 13 comments in the report say it all! Pure travel adventure, reminds me of a quote: "Stop worrying about the potholes in the road and enjoy the journey." (Babs Hoffman)
