Hi, dear Eire

I am so glad you like these pictures.

As I said earlier, I made up to 2500 photos in Rpa Nui and I am expecting to upload hundreds of them to Globo, but it will certainly take time. I hope that my pupils at school will leave me some of this precious time to achieve my goal.

Thanks again.

Hello Eire,

I enjoyed the chat. Be sure to ask for more info before you go to Nepal - Tibet region. My Kathmandu hotel manager is a Tibetan, has email address, and would be an excellent contact for up-to-date info on westerner going to Tibet. He did several favors for me, & will no doubt tell you some tales - all true - when you tell you know me! His hotel is very safe, & $13 -15 USD /night, with no charge to safely store extra bags when you are trekking. Safety deposit box w/2 keys - 24/7 access, for passport, $$, etc. In the heart of the little tourist area.

Crossing into Tibet from Nepal [Kodari & Freedom Bridge at border] will put you closer to the Tibetan Mt. Everest Park, than flying SFO - Hong Kong, then flying across China to Lhasa, Tibet, with a total of many days flying, buses, Toyota 'jeeps' , trucks to reah the park. Or, you can fly from KTM into Lhasa, etc. Lhasa has fantastic monasteries, built into the mountains centuries ago.

Regards,
Jack

China...

Hello Eire

I was lucky two years ago to take a sabbatical and travelled around. But I just love travelling, its my 'reason for being', well something like that.

China was the best and worst place I'd visited and would do it again in a heartbeat; there are so many extremes, and contrasting cities to see. I done major cities, be Gloria James' pictures are a sure advertisement for visiting the countryside.

You should go, you'll have some wonderful memories...

Nice to hear from a Californian citizen. I am real glad you enjoy the pics I made in the Cook Islands and in Easter Island. For the last one, the best and most interesting are yet to come and I will upload dozens of those photos in the next days.

Cheers

Hi,
Thanks for your word in my guest book. I recommend you to visit Taiwan if you can. It is maybe not a place for beaching and sun bathing, but it is a country full of traditions where people a re very friendly.

I enjoyed your personnal way of writting on the reports.

Hi Eire,
Thank you very much for taking the time to write such a nice comment.
This corner of Ireland, tucked in behind the Blackstairs Mountains, is just below the Sculloge Gap between Counties wexford and Carlow. It is full of the peace of quite cattle grazing and of corn crops growing with lots of wild life in the small forest patches.

Congratulations on winning POM. You lead such an exciting life. I see you have been swimming with Dolphins.
We also have a resident Dolphin, Fungie, in the wild at Dingle. My Daughter swam with him and touched him to her great excitement,

Your name Eire, has the same spelling as the Irish language name of our Country. Have you connections with Ieland?

...thanks for noticing that. If you ever had a chance like that you've experienced with dolphins, moray-eels and sting-rays are sure to follow sometime, beautiful...
