Hello Eire,
Thanks so much for your guestbook entry about my report. In fact, I was so surprised to be selected for the monthly award, given the huge amout of excellent reports posted every month. Now I'm all nervous about writing the next one. haha. Actually, I'm in Thailand for a month for work, so hopefully I'll have something cool to write about when I get back to Japan.
Thanks again :)

You would be astonished to learn what a ten year old can figure out about paintings, they have a total different way of looking at them, makes such a visit quite refreshing.

Travelling to Washington
Posted: 2005-07-30 12:39 PM
Hi,
I once saw a picture of Mt. McKinley in Alaska and decided to go there, not knowing in the least what would happen to me. It became one of my best journeys, simply because I didn't plan anyrhing. Why can't you find something in Washington just to have a reason to go there, i.e. to see this wonderful light-blue painting of Manet in the National Gallery?
There is always a reason to go travelling, one only has to find one.

Hi Eire
Thanks for the comment. I first did the report without photos as I'd lost mine. Yesterday we went again after a long time and so I put in the photos.
As for the road you mention - every time I go on it I marvel that my memory of its quality is not a delusion.
Cheers, David

Your Excellent Washington DC report

Hi Kay,
Just wanted to say, Great Job! about your Washington D.C. report. It's a big subject and you covered it well! I was just there last December, and you really captured the spirit of the place, with lots of helpful and colorful details. I will definately be using it as a reference on my next trip there.
Many thanks,
Liz

Dear Eire.
Thank you for recognizing the beauty of the garden.
For me it is truly magical place, where i would spend entire day (i haven't been there for years, even though,i live only a few blocks away ),and of coarse with the stop in Batanical gardens-across the street.A lot of great opportunitys for photography and just only relaxing -when the fog is not around.
Best wishes to you

Eire,
Thanks for your comments. I was a little unlucky as the weather wasn't too good. But it was an amazing experience and I am very blessed to have achieved this.
Speak to you soon

Hola Eire

Thanks for your comments, Eire.
In fact you help me a lot to write my reports, and I choose (whenever possible) the better pictures for them. Before publishing them, I think: “Oh, I have to write this report accurately because, unquestionably, Eire will read it and I want her to find it nice and beautiful”.
I will write more after my trip to Antarctica.
Best
