Hi Amanda,

Many thanks for your kind comment on my photo from Budva. I tried to capture the atmosphere. It was difficult to 'catch' the lightnings on the photo, and at that moment it stroke just behind the citadel (this is why the sky is illuminated in purple like that) so one cannot see the path of the lightning, but at the same time, there was another hitting the sea - in the bottom right corner of the shot...

Yes, the single light was great! I loved it, too.

Hi Amanda,

Thanks for your recent compliments. The storms in Montenegro last weekend were truly spectacular. It is tricky to photograph the ligthning. If you can, place your camera on a tripod, and set it to 2 seconds exposure time. If you have light sensitive shutter release tool, then that's job done. Otherwise, it is pretty much lucky strike. I didn't have a tripod or any other tools, so just kept the camera still and kept shooting, hoping to catch the lightning. Fortunately, they kept coming every few seconds.

I will submit reports on Herceg Novi, Perast (if time allows), Kotor, and Budva. And possibly also Dubrovnik.

Photos to come in soon as well. Hopefully members will forgive sudden flow of tens and tens of pictures from Montenegro and Dubrovnik.

I also fell behind with submissions of material from my other recent trips to Belgium and France...
