Hi Amanda,

I passed through Istanbul briefly about 40 years ago and never got to see it, your report and pics has made up for it at last, Cheers, Tony.

Hi Amanda,
The time is changing due to which two points you re travel with ferry. For example;
Uskudar <-> Besiktas = 8 minutes
Kadıkoy <-> Besiktas = 20 minutes
Kadıkoy <-> Eminonu = 20 minutes
there are also sea buses between some points, they are faster than the ferries.
Kadıkoy <-> Bakirkoy = 30 minutes
Kadıkoy <-> Sariyer = 40 minutes (very long route indeed (: )
There are also sea taxis for very very fast travel between two sides, but it is too expensive.
Take care..

Norway etc

Hi Amanda
Glad you like Norway, not as peaceful looking as your pics of Tobago, more dramatic, but as beautiful in it's own way, well worth a visit as you seem to travel extensively.
I am sure you have noticed I do not have as many pics as other members, although I have many more, they are slides and neg's from the stone age cameras so will have to get a copier.
Finland was a typographical error, there is only one Finland as far as I know, been to the border once when in Norway.
Keep the pics coming.

Life is a Beach!

Amanda,
What a marvelous slideshow! I love that the trees are leaning into the wind, and the shots at sunset are stunning!
You've inspired me to go over to the beach this afternoon! I already got one of my sons interested in going with me!

Hi Amanda
Thanks for your comment on my Edinburgh report and those on two of my photos.
I'm sorry that I have no idea what the 'wow' plant is but your suggestion sounds OK!
What are you planning next?

Hi Amanda,
thank you for your beautiful slide show which left me dreaming of the Carribean... Especially I like the pic of the rushing in water in the Black Rock Bay.
Best regards - Petra

Amanda,
Yes, things seem to have settled down in Thailand. Two weeks ago I was truly worried, but I think we are going to be fine. We just can't wear red apparently :-)
Where are you off to next?
