Amanda,
I noticed that you are back - how was Victoria Falls? It is one of the place I am considering for next summer so I can't wait to hear about it!

What's new with you?

Scotland in November?

Posted: 2006-09-11 01:36 PM
Hi there Amanda, just checking my guestbook and realised I hadn’t replied to your earlier message.

Yes thanks I did have a good time in Scotland, although I have to admit a large amount of time was spent in the many pubs of Edinburgh.

I hope you get there in November, it is likely to be cold especially if you are touring the highlands or the islands. Edinburgh itself has some natural protections from the weather so is less wild and windswept than some other parts.

If you get to Edinburgh and can’t face the walk up to Arthur’s Seat (like I couldn’t) I recommend the walk up to Calton Hill instead. It is an easier climb and there are great views and some strange and interesting monuments.

Best Wishes
Clive

Hi there Amanda,

How are you? Thanks for signing my guestbook. I realise it was a long while ago but I havent been online long enough write a proper reply. Anyhow, I hope to spend more time on globo and have just upgraded my membership to premium again. I've been travelling and taken heaps of photos, I hope to upload them in the near future.

I love reading your fabulous reports especially of Great Britain and I hope someday in the near future, I'd be able to see for myself this beautiful historical country.

Take care Amanda, hope to catch you again soon.

Cheers,
Farizan.

Thanks for dropping a little work in my guestbook. Corsica was really fantastic, especially the horse-riding. In France we called it "L Ile de la Beaute", the beauty island. If you away from the beaten track, you can find hiden jewels!
I am glad you liked it, many thanks
Isabelle
